Every year the Ramsey Chess Club meets on Fridays in January and February. This instructional eight week course was held in the Ramsey Elementary School Cafeteria from 3:35PM-4:30PM. It was open to all students enrolled at Ramsey Elementary (grades kindergarten to 4th grade). The cost was $5.00. The program has attracted over 70 students during a session. Four major groupings of students were developed based on knowledge and skill of the game. Members from Monroeville Chess Club help with teaching these students.
